Chrome Saga is a side-scrolling action game with some platforming elements. In it, the player controls a mech, blasting and jumping his way to the end of each area. He has several different weapons he can use, if he finds them, as well as a few abilities that are based on his floating companion sphere.
Chrome Saga: Operation Sandstorm is the result of a sixteen week group project. I was one of the lead programmers and designers of this game; I designed much of the basic controls of the player and some of the types of enemies, as well as designing the level in the above video. I scripted much of the physics for the game, as well as how the player controlled, some of the different types of enemies and obstacles, and some of the abilities and upgrades.
